Looking for a quick, nutritious snack that's easy to prepare and perfect for busy days? These protein balls are not only delicious but packed with wholesome ingredients like organic oats, peanut butter, and omega-3 rich seeds to keep you energized throughout the day. They're a great grab-and-go option for moms, active lifestyles, or anyone wanting a balanced snack. Plus, they’re kid-friendly and naturally sweetened with honey or maple syrup!

Nutritional Benefits of Protein Balls

These protein balls are packed with nutrients that make them a healthy and convenient snack:

  • Protein-Packed: The protein powder and peanut butter provide a high-quality protein source, helping with muscle repair and keeping you full longer.
  • Healthy Fats: Chia seeds, flax seeds, and peanut butter offer heart-healthy fats that support hormone health and brain function.
  • Fiber-Rich: Oats and seeds contribute to dietary fiber, promoting better digestion and sustained energy.
  • Quick Energy: Raw honey or maple syrup provides natural sugars for a quick energy boost, perfect for busy days or pre-workout fuel.

Equipment

Ingredients for Granola

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups organic oats (I used bobsredmill GF oats)
  • 2 scoops of vanilla or chocolate protein powder (I used Just Ingredients vanilla protein - use code organicmeg10 for 10% off!)
  • 1 cup organic peanut butter (just peanuts and salt)
  • ¼ cup organic raw honey or organic maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp flax seeds
  • Handful of cacao nibs or chocolate chips (I used enjoylife chocolate chips)

You could also add in coconut flakes for extra healthy fats!

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl
  2. Shape into balls
  3. Refrigerate for about 2 hours
  4. Eat and enjoy!

This recipe makes about 15-20 balls depending on how big or small you make them!

These protein balls are the perfect make-ahead snack to keep in your fridge for a healthy energy boost all week long. Whether you need a quick breakfast addition, a post-workout bite, or a satisfying midday treat, they’re a great choice. Try making a double batch and storing extras in the freezer for ultimate snack convenience! Let me know if you give them a try – I’d love to hear how you customize yours!

(P.S. More chocolate chips were eaten in the making of this post than I'd like to admit!)
